How to create a Mega menu using Bricks Builder: Step-by-step guide

Step - 01

Create a section template

To create a section template, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. From the menu options, locate and click on “Bricks”.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select “Templates” to access the templates section.
  4. Look for the “Add New Template” button and click on it to initiate the creation of a new template
Please proceed to assign a name to the template and then select the option from the template type "Section", which is located on the right-hand side.

Select the Template in WordPress menu

To navigate to the WordPress menu, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Appearance” in the WordPress dashboard.
  2. From the dropdown menu that appears, select “Menu.”
  3. This will take you to the menu editor, where you can manage your website’s menus.
  4. Locate the specific menu item for which you want to create a mega menu.
  5. Expand the menu item by clicking on the arrow or plus sign next to it.
  6. Within the expanded menu item, you will find an input field labeled as a template.
  7. Choose the previously created template from the provided options in the input field.
  8. Once you have selected the template, save the changes you made to the menu.
  9. Look for a “Save” or “Update” button in the menu editor and click on it.
  10. The selected template will now be applied to the chosen menu item, creating a mega menu.

Step -03

  1. Open the header’s bricks editor.
  2. Select the nav menu element.
  3. Choose your menu from the WordPress menu on the left.
  4. Expand the Mega Menu option.
  5. Enable it.

Step -04

Design/Build Mega MenuTemplate

Please construct the mega menu section template at the final stage as per the design you have created.

To customize your template using Bricks in the WordPress dashboard:

    1. Log in to your WordPress admin area.
    2. Go to Bricks > Templates.
    3. Select the desired template to edit.
    4. Use Bricks’ features to make changes according to your design.
    5. Save your modifications.
I am sharing with you the json file of my mega menu template. You can use it if you want. If you can't import json, you can follow the steps below

Import JSON{ file }

To access your downloaded templates, please head to your WordPress Dashboard then Bricks.Navigate to "Bricks" or hover over it and select "Templates"
You will see your template library. Click on “Import templates”.
Click on "Choose Files". You have the option to upload JSON files.
Once you have successfully imported the JSON files, you will be able to view your newly acquired templates within your template library.
You can now use the template as your WordPress mega menu.
